We have been producing high-quality fashion from the soft wool of alpacas from South America for more than 30 years. But our company is not alone. Without our highly valued production partner, we would not be where we are today.
From the very beginning, it was important to us to develop a sustainable collaboration. We expected not only outstanding quality from our partner, but also a friendly working relationship. Because we believe that only those who work closely, trustingly and with joy can achieve truly unique results. Our long-term partner is the small production company IFER Knitwear based in Lima. We have been working side by side since the production company was founded. Manuela Bedford was one of our first customers, because what convinced us of IFER Knitwear right from the start was the love of the product, the high standards of quality, design and sustainability, as well as the warm contact with each other. For us, it was a matter of course to visit the company ourselves in the capital of Peru to get an impression of how they work. We continue this tradition from time to time - after all, collaboration also developed into friendship.
One aspect that we also value is that knowledge is passed on from older people to younger people. The knowledge and skills of knitting are therefore not forgotten. This craft lives on in every product in our fashion collections made from fine alpaca wool.
IFER Knitwear uses very high-quality yarns made from 100% alpaca wool for its production. Numerous colors and types of yarns make Manuela Bedford's collections so unique in the final step of the process. For the benefit of the environment, the work is carried out as gently as possible and, wherever possible, with OEKO-TEX certified yarns.
